Filming starts again!! - Doctor Who Series 4

Filming has begun again on FanFilm Series 4 of MB & Homeland's Doctor Who. We filmed on Episode 2 at an old location which we filmed at in 2016 for Series 3.

There are a total of 8 filming days planned from now until the end of December. MB & Homeland are hoping by the end of the year to have over 75% of filming done.

We have also been using some interesting props to film with on Series 4. Be ready to expect more fleshed out and detailed characters.

That's all of MB & Homeland so far, hopefully in July 2016 Doctor Who FanFilm Series 3 will go online along with our 10th Anniversary special, who knows where we'll be in 10 years time.

The Future of MB & Homeland

In our most recent podcast we announced that we were thinking of closing the channel with in the next two years. This is because people like CEO Mark Bray will be going to University September 2017 and won't have time to manage the channel unless someone else became the CEO. It is possible that Mark will take a gap year from September 2017 to 2018 but this is uncertain at the moment. Either way the channel will close by September 2018.


We are going to keep the channel LIVE with all our videos on, we aren't deleting any of the films we've made but we just won't be creating content any more.

Things to look forward to:

• We are currently filming our brand new Doctor Who FanFilm Series. This will come out 16th July 2016 and will air up until Christmas day 2016. There will be a total of 9 episodes plus a 10th Anniversary movie. We are planning on making a Doctor Who movie next year because we don't have any plans to make another series but we are discussing it at the moment.
• We are currently finishing filming on a brand new season we are making called 'Political Rage' this series will have a total of 3 episodes and filming on a second season has already begun. Season one is scheduled to come out on the 22nd October 2016. Season two will probably come out Autumn 2017.
• We are currently in production of a new Star Wars FanFilm which will air 4th May 2017. This film is called 'Darkness Of The Republic' and it will star Mark Bray, Tom Ford, Jordan Crowther-Russell & Franki Lang. There are no plans to make any more Star Wars films after this but we are discussing it at the moment.
• We are still going to make comedy sketches every so often, the last one we made was in September 2015, hopefully a new one will be coming soon. We are also hoping to bring out a short film every year up until our closure.
• We are still making gameplays on the 25th of every month and we are still hosting 'Race To The White House' on the 10th of every month. Race To The White House probably won't be continuing next year because the election will have finished but we will still be making gameplays.
• Hopefully in 2017 we will be bring out a new monthly series to replace Race To The White House, this is currently being discussed and we will have information soon.
• News Update is still being produced and airing on the 15th of every month, this will continue every month until we close.
• Behind The Lens is still being made and coming out on the 20th of every month but it might not continue next year, that is being discussed at the moment.
• If Mark Bray did take a gap year from 2017 to 2018, we would probably produce a stand alone movie. This isn't definite yet but we'll know by May 2017.

A few members of MB & Homeland are planning on leave in September to go to university. Hopefully a few new people will be joining in a few months, at the moment no one really knows what they'll be doing next year, but we will try our hardest to keep the channel alive until September 2018. After that we will no longer be making content but all the videos will remain LIVE.

Series 3 Information

Filming for Series 3 began on Saturday 19th September 2015 at Nunney Castle. We began with filming Episode 5 on Saturday 19th September and 17th October. A total of 9 minutes and 50 seconds.

Then on the 27th October we began filming Episode 1 of Series 3. Filming has been happening every month for the last 3 months. The series is scheduled to come out in Summer 2016. Filming should be done by April 2016.

Filming 19/09/15 Episode 5 Series 3 Doctor Who

On the 19th September we travelled all the way to Nunney Castle to film a big scene of Episode 5 of our next Series. Series 3 is scheduled to come out Summer 2016.

We began at 8:00am meeting outside MB & Homeland Headquarters. At 8:30am we all began on our journey driving 25 miles to Nunney. We arrived at 11am, Spent an hour have a practice with swords and defending. Then all got into costumes. It was 12:30pm by the time we were all ready. Filming finished at 4pm. We drove back and our editors began work for next series.

Future Projects - Information From Presentation 20/06/15

On Saturday 20th June 2015 Mark Bray did a long presentation about current and future projects. Stuff like Doctor Who, Star Wars & Our Own Original Movie. He preformed the presentation to Aaron Hooper, Ben Durrant, Graham Bray, Samuel Moore, Tom Ford & Tom Skinner.

We mainly talking about Future Projects. Mark Bray had a list of about 10 possible movies/series that MB & Homeland could make in the future. He then asked everyone to vote on which one they liked best. Everyone voted for different things. The most voted project was a movie called 'Sacrifice' about Islamic State. This movie would be the first Christian film created by MB & Homeland. We have not yet decided if we are still going to make this movie or not, The name of the film might also change if we do decide to make it.

Current Plans & Future Projects

At the moment at MB & Homeland we are currently putting together a short series of 7 Episodes of Doctor Who. We are releasing 5 of those 7 episodes from 11th July - 8th August this year. The other 2 will come out Christmas Day 2015 and New Years Day 2016.

We hope this year to start filming a new series called 'Political Rage' which we hope will come out Autumn 2016. This series will start Graham Bray, Samuel Moore & Mark Bray. Filming is scheduled to begin on 'Political Rage' Sunday 31st May 2015.

We are also hoping to start remastering our second Star Wars movie. We recently remastered our 2012 Star Wars fan film 'The Padawan' by adding new sound effects, filters, soundtrack, lightsaber special effects and many more. We are also planning on remastered our second Star Wars fan film 2013 'The Padawan II The Return' by adding the same stuff. Remastering will hopefully begin in August and 'Star Wars The Padawan II The Return Remastered' should hopefully be going on YouTube in May 2016. A trailer will be going online in January 2016

Still talking about Star Wars, we are planning on filming a third Star Wars fan film; starting early next year, and it is called 'Darkness Of The Republic', It will go online in May 2017.

We are hoping to start filming our own original movie late June. This movie is yet to be named. We originally began filming it in February 2013 before it was cancelled. The original name was 'Doors The Movie'. We are thinking of changing the name from 'Doors' to something else. We did plan on bringing out this movie in December 2015 before it was cancelled for a second time. Now we are bringing it back again for a third time. This time it won't come out until February/March 2016 and is yet to be named.

Nothing has been confirmed about this yet but we are hoping at some point in the near future to bring out our own James Bond fan film. From Thursday 10th January - Thursday 7th March 2013. Mark Bray wrote a James Bond script called 'Daybringer'. A cast list for this film has yet to be released but it is believed that either Tom Skinner will be playing James Bond or new member Aaron Hooper. These are just rumours. This film will probably come out late 2016, early 2017.

We are slowly getting episodes together for the next series of Doctor Who. We are currently filming our second series and are slowly putting plans together for our third series which will come out Summer 2016. We don't know yet if Samuel Moore will stay on for a second series or get replaced by someone else. The most likely people to replace Samuel Moore are Tom Skinner, Aaron Hooper or Graham Bray. Filming on Series 3 will take place later this year.
