Filming Nearly Done On Star Wars The Padawan III 'Darkness Of The Republic'

As of the 22nd December, MB & Homeland have held 19 filming get togethers on Star Wars The Padawan III, and have stacked up over an hour of footage for the movie. A total of 81 out of the 94 pages in the script have been completed with just 13 more to do.

MB & Homeland will be holding 2 more filming days between the 29th December 2016 and the 7th January 2017 to complete the last 13 pages. With editing 25% done, it looks like the film will be out for the 4th May 2017 and won't be delayed as Mark feared.

MB & Homeland originally had plans to not release another trailer until February 2017, but it looks like they could be bringing one out as early as 1st January 2017. This trailer would reveal the other main characters that we have not seen yet, and will give us dialogue [unlike the first trailer] with a clearer understanding of the plot.

Next Star Wars FanFilm The Padawan III Trailer Release Date

In August we uploaded a trailer for our new Star Wars FanFilm, we got a lot of feedback on it and a lot of people seemed to enjoy it. A few people did say that it was a shame that there wasn't much action in the trailer, a lot of it was just people standing around or walking.

This is mainly because editing has only just begun and very few special effects have been added yet. Lightsaber effects can take up to 2 months to edit together. Plus a lot of the stuff you see in the trailer isn't even finalised, for example the scene where you see the star destroyers flying away from the camera, that scene has been edited a least 10 times since we uploaded that trailer in fact the exhaust colour has changed from red to blue to fit in with canon.

We've also not finished filming yet, so there is a lot still to come.

Mark Bray recently said that another trailer won't come out until February, nearly 5 months since the first trailer was released. Mark hasn't decided a release day just yet but its most likely going to be the middle of February.

Loads of editing has going into the new Star Wars film. Mark responded to a comment under the August Trailer saying "We are putting more effort into this movie than any other film we've ever made before"

A small premier took place on 24th October just for members of MB & Homeland.
Colin Bray, Graham Bray, Jordan Crowther-Russell, Mark Bray, Samuel Moore & Tom Skinner sat down to watch the unfinished film to give feedback on sound and footage quality. They all agreed the plot is the best thing they've ever created at MB & Homeland, now the important thing is making sure its clear so that everyone can understand it.

No new characters have been announced but Mark assures us that in the next trailer you'll get to see several new characters and you'll see the other two main characters.

Mark Bray did announced that four characters from the original trilogy will be appearing in the Star Wars FanFilm. We've already seen Vader but who are the other three? I guess we'll have to wait and see

In the trailer, it features several clips of different planets and clips of the main characters.

Several Stormtroopers & Imperials appear in the trailer, as well as Darth Vader himself. MB & Homeland have said that even though Vader appears, he does not play a major part in the story and is not the main villain. Two Sith also appear in the trailer from the previous Padawan films. According to MB & Homeland there will be 5 planets featured in the movie. 3 of which we know of, the other two are unknown yet but MB & Homeland did reveal that one is from the Prequels, the other from the Original Trilogy.

The snow planet was filmed in Aviemore, Scotland on the Cairngorm mountain back in February 2016. Mark Bray said "The best part of filming was the local hikers walking past us and saying 'May The Force Be With You' It was very cold but the end result is incredible"

The trailer does feature two unnamed characters, One portrayed by Graham Bray & the other by Colin Bray.
Apart from those two, everyone featured in the trailer we have a name and information about.
